Whenever you come across a product on a website that you'd like to add to your project, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open your Alcove Product Clipper from the Extension toolbar (top right corner of your Chrome window).

  2. Sign in using the same email address you use in your Alcove app (it will ask you to authenticate only once).

  3. Choose Clip New Product.

  4. Specify the project to which you'd like to clip products.

Note:
If the vendor website has structured data, Alcove Product Clipper can automatically add and fill in product details. Click Autofill Data.

5. Assign to Room:
For that, please choose the necessary option from the drop-down menu. Or add a new room by typing it in and clicking Add.

6. Clip up to 5 product images:

  • right-click on the necessary picture and press Clip Image

  • OR use the image Crop selector. Just click the icon and then click and drag across the image on the page that you would like to capture

7. Highlight any text you'd like to clip to a field and then choose from the dropdown menu which product field you'd like to save it to.

You can highlight and clip the text for the following fields:

  • Product Name

  • Unit Cost

  • Dimensions

  • SKU

  • Manufacturer

  • Color/Finish

  • Material

  • Description

Note:
The Product URL field is pre-filled using the vendor website URL of the page you are clipping from.

8. Clip any document/attachment by right-clicking on it and choosing what document type it is. You can add a document as:

  • Specifications

  • Warranty

  • Install Instructions

9. Press Clip at the bottom of the Product Clipper window to save your clipped product to the project.

10. When you go to your Alcove app, your newly clipped product will be added to the selected project with a Draft status.

Note:
With Alcove Product Clipper, you can also edit your existing products in Alcove and add or modify product details.
