Note: To get started, make sure that you have your spreadsheet ready to upload.
To export your products from another software provider, check this help section.
To format your Sheets file to upload to Alcove, read this article.
To use Alcove's Google Sheets Template, follow these steps.
Once your spreadsheet is ready to be uploaded, you can start the import process:
Click on Select File to choose the spreadsheet from your computer to upload:
If your spreadsheet is valid, it will be uploaded and you will see its name and type (whether it is the Alcove template or came from a different software provider). If this is correct, click Continue:
Then, you will see the Product Preview. Please make sure that the product information is mapped correctly. You can use the arrows at the top right to review all of the products you are about to import. If everything is fine, press Finish Import:
Your file will upload, this could take a minute. Do not leave this screen during the import or it will cancel the import that is in process and not all products will be loaded. Once the upload is complete, you can click the YAY! button or the X icon to return to the Project page:
Note: If you use Alcove's Sheets template or import a spreadsheet from Alcove's supported software providers, product mapping will happen automatically.
If you are using your Sheets file without aligning it to Alcove's formatting, you will see our Mapping tool on the left side of the modal window after you upload your file.
Please map your sheet's column headings with Alcove’s Product Data fields. See the Product Preview on the right to ensure the mapping is accurate. Hit Continue when you finished the mapping procedure:
Then, move to Step 4 of this guide.
