If you utilize Gmail labels to organize your emails by project, you can sync those labels to your Alcove projects. This will mean that any emails that you assign a project label in Gmail would automatically be assigned to the associated Alcove project and filtered to project messages.

You can get to your Gmail label sync settings in two ways:

  • Click on your Profile icon in the top right in Alcove and choose Account >> Manage Google Connection. Then click the Manage Gmail Label Association button.

  • Go to the Messages page, click the three-dotted menu in the top left of the Messages page, and choose Gmail Label Sync Settings from the menu.

Once in your Gmail Label Sync Settings, you will see a list of your Active and Archived projects. Follow the steps below to enable Gmail label sync:

  1. For each Alcove project, choose a Gmail label from the drop-down that matches your project.

  2. Once you have selected the correct Gmail label for the Alcove project, Enable the sync for all future emails that apply by clicking the toggle to the left of your Alcove project name.

  3. Click Yes, Turn On to confirm in the pop-up window.

  4. When you have successfully enabled the toggle for that project, you will see Synced under the status for that line.

  5. To assign all existing emails with the associated Gmail label to your Alcove project messages, click the Assign all email button for that project. Click Yes, Move All Emails to confirm.
