Assign emails to projects and products

Categorize your inbox by project and products to easily locate and access specific trade-related discussions, updates, and documentation.

Note:

To start assigning emails to projects and products, please make sure to connect your Gmail account to Alcove.

If you use Gmail labels for your projects, you can sync your labels in Alcove.

Assign emails to a project

If you don't use Gmail labels, you can assign an email to a project by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Messages tab in your Alcove account.

  2. Press on the Navigation menu next to the email you'd like to assign to a project and choose the project from the list.

To assign multiple emails, please:

  1. Click the Checkmark icon next to them.

  2. Press on the Navigation menu next to one of the selected emails and choose the project to assign them to.

As a result, you should see your project association like this:

This way, all your project-assigned email threads will appear in the Messages tab inside the project.

All the documents exchanged in these threads will appear in the Documents tab inside the project.

Assign emails to products

Note:

To assign an email to products, please assign it to a project first.

  1. Please go to the Messages tab.

  2. Open the email you'd like to assign products to and click on Assign product(s).


  3. Select as many products as you'd like and click on Done.


Now, you can see all your assigned products at the top of your email. Press on the product to edit it side-by-side.

It will open like this:

Now, you can see your associated emails in the Product Communications tab for each assigned product.
