Manage Client Approvals and Budgets

Organize your room boards and share a Client View link with your clients to approve and provide comments on your room's products.

Benefits of Using Approvals

  • Visual Room Boards:

    Share visually appealing room boards with your clients, providing a clear and engaging overview of your design concepts.

  • Direct Client Approvals & Feedback

    Allow clients to directly approve products or entire rooms and add comments directly on products.

  • Budget Tracking:

    Manage project finances by adding and tracking the budget for both the overall project and individual rooms.

Build Your Room Board, Set Your Budget & Send for Client Approval

Please follow the steps below to build your room board and set the budget:

Note:

If you have your products and rooms added already, please skip to step 6.

  1. Navigate to the desired project and open the Approvals page.

  2. Begin by adding a room to your project.

  3. Click on the newly created room to add products. You can:

    1. select any product not associated with a room

    2. select any service fee not associated with a room

    3. add a new product

  4. After you add your first product, you can continue adding products to your room.

  5. You can hide/un-hide products from your Client View and edit each product.

  6. Go back to the Approvals page and click on the Settings icon to decide what you would like your client to see in their Client View.

    1. Choose how you would like your client to approve:

      1. each product in the room individually

      2. all products per room in bulk

    2. Choose whether you would like your client to see client prices and budget.

    3. Choose how you would like the overall project budget to be set:

      1. Fixed project budget

      2. Determined by individual room budgets

  7. If applicable, use the right-side menu to type in the budget for each room.

  8. You can hide/un-hide rooms from your Client View.


  9. Once you're ready to set the Client View live, please click on the Manage Client View in the top right.

  10. Utilize the toggle to activate the live view for the client.

  11. Copy the unique link generated and share it with your client. OR you can send the link via email straight from Alcove if you have the Gmail sync enabled.

Note:

Your clients can access the unique link without the need to log in or create an account.

Information Your Client Can View

Once your client accesses the unique link, they will have a user-friendly interface with the following capabilities:

  1. Approve products individually or in bulk per room: Depending on the settings you've selected, clients can approve/decline either each product or approve/decline all products per room in bulk.

  2. Detailed Product Information and Comments: By clicking on a product, clients can view a Tear sheet containing the information you decided to share. Additionally, they can leave comments, fostering seamless collaboration and feedback.

Each Product page now has a Client View tab where you can see your client's comments:
