AI Approval Review

Generate an AI briefing of client approval progress on a project—what’s approved, what’s waiting, and what needs follow-up.

Written by Jake Hall

AI Approval Review gives you an on-demand briefing of client approval progress for a project. It summarizes what’s approved, what’s still pending, and where to focus next—so you don’t have to scan every line item by hand.

Important: AI features are free while Alcove AI is in beta. Always verify approval status in Alcove before sharing updates with clients.

Where to find it

  1. Open a Project.

  2. Go to the Approvals area for that project.

  3. Click the Approval Review (✨) control in the approvals header.

What you’ll see

When you open Approval Review, Alcove shows previously saved reports for the project (if any). From there you can:

  • Generate a new report for the current approval state

  • Open a saved report from history

  • Refresh to re-run the analysis with the latest data

Each report includes a health-style summary based on how many line items are approved versus total, plus narrative insights and recommendations you can act on.

Best practices

  • Run a review before client check-ins or after a large batch of approval activity.

  • Use Refresh after clients change approvals so the briefing reflects the latest state.

  • Treat the AI summary as a guide—confirm critical statuses on the Approvals board before following up.

Important notes

  • Reports are cached for performance (about 24 hours); Refresh pulls a fresh analysis.

  • This feature is separate from sharing a live Client View link and from Talk to Your Project chat.

  • For setting up client approvals themselves, see Manage Client Approvals and Budgets.
